This month’s spotlight is one of our amazing Emergency Communications Specialists – Monica!
She’s been with NTECC for about a year and a half having previously worked as a Certified Medical Assistant for Parkland Health. In her time at NTECC, she has worked hard to be fully-trained as a call-taker and dispatcher for all positions, and has already receieved two commendations from Addison PD for her outstanding work!
The three words/phrases she uses to describe NTECC are “proactive, exhilirating, and fulfilling.” According to her, true leadership “having the ability to serve your people while guiding them in a supportive manner.”
Her favorite part of the job is “the unpredictable nature of each shift – no shift is the same!” Meanwhile, the most challenging part of the job is “taking calls while also listening to radio traffic.”
Over the next 10 years, she wants to have her own therapy practice and to travel the world!
