This month’s spotlight is our amazing call takers – Diandra!
She’s been with NTECC about 2 and a half years, having previously worked 15 years in healthcare – specifically as a LPN working with behavioral health patients.
The three words/phrases she uses to describe NTECC are “energizing, purposeful, and inspiring.” According to her, true leadership “means great communication; it’s not about having all the answers, it’s about asking the right questions to unlock the genius in others.”
Her favorite part of the job is “the unpredictability and the ability to help someone with just a simple phone call or kindness. No two days are identical.” Meanwhile, the most challenging part of the job is “keeping myself off autopilot by never getting too comfortable. It’s easy to fall into a rhythm, but complacency makes you blind to errors and missed opportunities.”
For prospective candidates, her advice is “don’t give up, and believe in yourself and what you know; Ask questions! Everybody here will help you if you ask.”
Over the next 10 years, she wants “to own a behavioral health outpatient or community center. This population is too often overlooked, and the need for accessible, compassionate resources is urgent. I want to help fill that gap.”
