This month’s spotlight is one of our brand new Emergency Communciations Specialist Trainees – Latrice!
She has been with NTECC for about two months having previously worked as a customer service agent fo Southwest Airlines. She is also currently working to obtain her Bachelor’s degree in Human Services!
According to her, the most challenging part of this job so far is “learning nature codes in the classroom. But eventually, I think it will be the emotional toll of the job.” Meanwhile, her favorite part of the job is “learning how to use the CAD system!”
The three words/phrases she uses to describe NTECC are “supportive, community-focused, and secure.” According to her, true leadership is “someone who does what’s right. They uplift others, as well as develop and inspire people.”
For prospective candidates, she says, “don’t stress! The help is available – if needed, don’t be afraid to ask!”
